Armed or unarmed: how do I decide?
Unarmed officers suit most offices, residential communities and retail floors, where the job is access control, patrol and calm customer contact. Armed officers are assigned where cash, high-value goods or elevated risk are involved. We'll give you an honest recommendation after the walkthrough.
Are your officers licensed, and is the company insured?
Yes. Officers hold active California BSIS guard cards, armed officers also hold BSIS firearms permits, and Evergreen Shield Security operates as a licensed private patrol operator (PPO #122879) with full insurance.
How soon can coverage begin?
Most sites can be staffed within a few days of an approved proposal. Urgent needs, such as fire watch or coverage after a break-in, can often be filled within 24 to 48 hours.
Is there a minimum contract?
No long-term commitment is required. Agreements run month to month, and we also cover one-time events and short-term needs.
What reporting will I receive?
A daily activity report covering patrol rounds, observations and photos. Anything serious is phoned or emailed to you straight away, not saved for the morning.
Is mobile patrol enough, or do I need a posted officer?
Patrol works well for properties that need a visible deterrent and regular checks. Sites with steady foot traffic, access control or valuable assets usually need a dedicated officer. Many clients combine the two.
Do you staff events and film shoots?
Yes: concerts, private and corporate events, festivals, and film and TV productions, including overnight set and equipment watch.
